We're inviting motivated higher education teachers of English from around the world to help develop the SMART Communication textbook series. 

What is a SMART Designer? 

SMART Designers help pioneer the use of the SMART Communication textbooks in their own classes and apply their own opinions on how to improve them. They then provide weekly feedback to help shape future editions of SMART Class Series textbooks (weekly feedback takes about 10 minutes to complete online, but don't blame us if you get addicted to the challenge).

When would it be done?

Applications must be received by December 14th, 2022 for the April 2023 start in Japan. The teaching period and feedback runs for one semester/term with an optional extension to two semesters/terms.  

What do SMART Designers get?

As part of this community, you get: 

• your name published as a SMART Designer in the next edition of textbooks that you helped pioneer 
• your SMART Designer profile on our website so visitors can see who you are and the contributions you made
• priority on future opportunities for new textbook series developments
• a certificate recognizing you as an official SMART Designer
• a delicious Toblerone chocolate bar!
